Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning Park, being a combination of the land that was used by the British Armed Forces and King George V Jubilee Park, was previously known as the Central Park in 1972. It was then renamed in November 1981 by the late Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew to Fort Canning Park, and at the same time converted into a historical park. It will be linked to Pearl’s Hill City Park after a rejuvenation, which will be turned into a playground and social space for the neighbourhood. Getting to Fort Canning Park from One Pearl Bank would take an approximately 10 minutes’ walk.
